Keno Rules

Keno is a very simple game to play and its rules are very similar to traditional lotteries (e.g. bingo and lotto) that can be found easily in online casinos.
Each player is given a large « Keno Board » marked with 80 numbers. The goal is to match as much numbers as possible of the 20 balls drawn at random every round. Keno ball drawing occurs at the Keno booth and is typically determined by one of four devices:
- traditional: also called “rabbit ear blower”
- “AKV”: automated blower in which the balls are encoded, read by a computer, then sent to a computerized keno system for processing
- An electronic number selection device (Random Number Generator) approved by gaming authorities
- “Hand Cage”: a spinning the metal ball cage which rolls the numbers into a slot where they are validated by a person.
Keno played in top online casinos has a special software that generates numbers randomly and the player can select a maximum of 10 numbers per play. If one of the number chosen matches a drawn number this is called a « hit ». Payoffs are determined depending on the player bets (which can vary from 1, 3 to 5 US dollars), the spots (with a max. of 10) and the numbers « hit ».
The numbers can be chosen directly on the Keno Board or automatically by using the « Automatic Deal 10 Numbers » function.
You can start the game by clicking either “Play One”, “Play Ten” or “Play Five”. Results are displayed one by one on the left side of your screen. By clicking on “Repeat Bet” you can play again using the same numbers you have bet in the previous round. Keno might lack the excitement that online poker has, but still it is a nice game that can be played without knowledge and skill.
